A few months ago, I read a story by this guy named Bud Smith at X-R-A-Y. It was super weird, wild, and exactly my kind of writing.

So I sent them a story of my own, and what do you know? They liked it enough to publish it.

“Prehistoric” is of the same series of flash pieces that I’ve been sending out the last 6 months or so. This is one is one of my favorites, though. I’m obsessed with this image of a man holding a bone at a table.

The sports bar in this story is a real place here in Jacksonville. I spent most of my senior year working here, washing dishes, watching people get into dumb fights.

Hope you enjoy the story. As always, I’m open to feedback.
